DZWeedEater is an environmentally safe, non-toxic, highly effective, non-selective, fast acting, organic based, post-emergence herbicide that safely kills weeds, grasses & broadleaf plants.

DZWeedEater’s active ingredients naturally strip away the waxy plant cuticle, with rapid desiccation down to the roots, causing it to dry up and die.

Absolutely. DZWeedEater was formulated for this purpose, and has little or no withholding period. However, as a non-selective herbicide, it will affect all contacted vegetation. Avoid contact with desirable plants, over-spray or drift can injure or kill vegetation. To limit spray area, we recommend using an old cereal box with both ends opened, a cone shaped collar, or other shielding apparatus to surround the weed. Spray within the confines of the shield. When removing the shield, do not allow drips to touch the leaves or blades of plants you wish to save.

The active ingredients are a combination of concentrated natural acid, citrus oil and other proprietary organic ingredients. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classifies this acid and citrus oil as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) or essentially no toxicity for certain uses.

DZWeedEater kills most weeds, grasses and broadleaves. The active ingredients are strong plant cellular killing agents that dissolve the waxy cuticle of a plant. Weeds and grasses with thinner cuticles are most responsive to DZWeedEater. Younger and smaller weeds that are growing quickly will be easier to kill than mature, hardened weeds. Weeds in hot and humid environments have thinner cuticles than plants in dry areas, and will be more susceptible to the product.
DZWeedEater provides best results when rain is not expected for 24 hours, and should be applied during hot, dry weather.
DZWeedEater is fast acting. Weeds will show darkening and wilting within 1 to 3 hours. On warmer days, complete burn-down typically occurs in less than one day.
For agricultural and crop areas we recommend complete dry time before re-entry to the area. This will prevent DZWeedEater from unintentionally spreading to valuable plants in adjacent areas.

For non–agricultural areas (homes, municipalities, roads, landscape, etc.) there is no withholding period.

DZWeedEater is made from natural ingredients without any synthetic altered chemicals.
Independent testing results have shown DZWeedEater is as effective, but faster acting when compared to leading synthetic herbicides. For example, glyphosate-based herbicides typically take 7 to 14 days to work. DZWeedEater acts much faster, with typical results in 1-2 hours.

Yes. Kosher Organics has independently reviewed the product and certified it as Kosher and Organic for weed control.
DZWeedEater’s active ingredients are citrus oil and acetic acid. Both of these can be irritating to nasal membranes and lung passages, and care has to be taken when handling. Under normal application the product will typically not affect breathing. Always read and follow label directions for this, and all DefenZa Organica products.
Children, livestock and pets can be in sprayed areas as soon as the spray dries. Most livestock will avoid DZWeedEater due to the smell and taste of the product.
DZWeedEater’s active ingredients are a citrus oil and acid. DZWeedEater comes to the user in a highly concentrated form and is diluted 1:4 with water. While in the dilute, Ready-To-Spray (RTS) form, the product is safe for humans and the environment. The concentrate is powerful, and can be dangerous if it is mishandled. Care must be taken when handling the concentrate. Note: The information provided here is not a substitute for directions on the product labels. It depends on the depth of root system. DZWeedEater naturally strips away a weed’s waxy cuticle, causing rapid desiccation, typically killing it down to the very roots. Other aspects of the product chemistry allow it to move systemically in the plant. If a weed has a shallow root system, such as annual weeds, killing the exposed leaves and stems will typically kill the roots. If a weed has a deep taproot, such as a perennial weed, removing the top growth may not immediately kill the root, and additional applications may be necessary. For best results, spray weeds when they are small, more vulnerable to DZWeedEater, and less likely to recover.
Once dried, sprayed areas can be planted within 2-3 hours after application.
There are no long-term dangers, illnesses, or maladies associated with the use of DZWeedEater.
While DZWeedEater is a fast-acting, highly effective, post-emergence weed control agent for nuisance plants and weeds, it will not control weeds that have yet to germinate.
